  23. I've been using the direct connect feature to transfer files from SCO Unix
  24. to W2k.  This has been working fine.  Now for the curve ball..

  26. I'm told that a client has a Digiman peripheral attached to his SCO com1 (
  27. dev/tty1a) in order to multiplex multiple connections to the SCO box.
  28.  
  29. Given  I have a correct cable ( RS232 - serial NULL modem cable),   will the
  30. direct connection still work?  That is, starting wermit on SCO with direct
  31. connection via /dev/tty1a,  can I still send files to the Windows machine?
  32. The RS-232 plugged into the Digiman box (which is plugged into the SCO comm
  33. port) and the other end to the W2k comm port.

  35. My colleague assures me that "this is transparent", however, I always worry
  36. when I hear that :-)   ( Like the famous last words:  This is the backup!)
